Winona-Ryder

Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz - was born in Winona Minnesota. The parents of Winona Ryder named her for the town she grew up in. Michel Horowitz was her father as well as Cynthia Palmer, his mother, were both authors and editors. Ryder's father was from the Jewish family Ryder believes she is Jewish. The actress is the younger sister of Uria and two half-siblings Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder's parents moved her along with their children in Mendocino County California when Ryder reached seven. At the time, there was no electricity. Ryder, who was an avid reader aged 12, became a bookworm because Ryder had no access to television. Ryder was enrolled in acting classes when Ryder was 12, in the American Conservatory Theatre. Lucas, a 1986 film which was her first big character. Ryder was just 15 when she got it. Ryder was bullied at her high school. Her hope was that acting could bring change. But, unfortunately, that didn't happen. However, it didn't stop her from following her dreams. Beetlejuice which was a 1988 Tim Burton film, was her first major breakthrough. Ryder was later cast in numerous roles that were successful. She received nominations for two Academy Awards one for her performance on The Age of Innocence (1993).
